| Just wanted to leave you a little note here, Flake. I'm really excited about the possibilities of this game! I may not be able to join right away (though I'd really like to!) but that is the beauty of a persistent world...I'll be along sooner or later. | |

| Ok, a few questions: TImeline? Tech level? Is it just modern, or future-modern or what? | |

| It's modern, but no specific date. Tech level is any weapon you can procure in, say, Chicago or Atlanta. I.e. pistols, revolvers, shotguns, uzis, knives, clubs. As the game progresses I'll allow stuff like AK-47s or various other assault rifles. For now, we'll keep it simple. But hold off on questions, most of them maybe answered by the FAQ I'll complete later | |

| Is there or will there ever be an unaffiliated bar? | |

| Yes, if need be. There will be two more bars added: one for people interested in being legitimate law enforcers and one for normal citizens (and vigilantes) of NAC. Only the vigilante one will conjure up jobs for those who aren't fortunate enough to have a police radio. People wanting to be legit law enforcers will receive missions from the police headquarters.
I say if need be, because I'd rather gauge a number of how many we'll have. Last time we did this, everyone but Teele had a seedy underbelly.

| If I was involved I'd follow the straight and narrow with a few *ahem* shortcuts. The cop that gets things done even if it does involve a break of procedure or involvement with some less than savoury individuals. | |

| Nope, no number. Just try to refrain from making a gang that is exclusively you and no one else.
And sounds like Mike is already figuring out what the city is like.

| I just realised if this is in first person playing a shady cop will be awesome. Ok screw maintaining a healthy balance of RL and RP and not taking on to manywriting projects I'm in from the start now to procure some Film Noir to get into the feel more lol until then Sin City will have to suffice haha | |

| I'm definetely in. Your other noir games were pretty awesome. I think I'll use Ares for this, though he'll have a different history than the one I used in your other game. This should be pretty fun. | |

| Are the cops hard on vigilantes? I want to go that route, but I don't feel like dodging the police and the gangs. I mean, will they turn a blind eye if I rough up some thugs or what? Getting arrested for doing their job sounds pretty lame. | |

| In a city like NAC there are plenty of good cops that will turn a blind eye to what the vigilantes are doing.
However, I might throw in a scenario or two further down the line where the crime bosses are sick of it, and throw a little something extra to make sure the vigilantes go down.
But again, that wouldn't be til much further down the line.

| Cool. Count me in.
I'm planning on resurrecting an old character I once used and tweaking him to make a vigilante / arms dealer / eccentric weirdo who no one quite knows where he stands. Avarus seems like the perfect place to play a "gray" character. Should be interesting.
And I love first-person.

| Wow, Flake, you've pretty much sucked me in, too. I like how you're setting things up to work a lot differently than the other PW that's up. Love the idea of different hangouts for the different groups. As always, a character has leaped right into my head. I won't be able to get down to business immediately, but rest assured I'll be getting him in. Gonna go get him made up. | |
