The Happiness List - Five at a Time

This idea comes from an all-time favorite blog entry from CDRW.

The idea's pretty similar to the Five Facts thread...only this is five things at a time that make you happy*.

My List for the moment:
1. Soft rain-laden spring breeze.
2. The sight of birds bathing in puddles.
3. A rambling walk with a good friend.
4. Strawberry banana smoothies
5. Snuggling into freshly line-dried sheets at the end of the day.

What are the top five on your happiness list today?

2. The scent of freshly baked bread
3. Snuggling up to watch a good film with friends or family
4. Banana sandwiches

My List for the moment:
1. Reading untill you fall asleep
2. The sound of raindrops on the roof late at night
3. A cold and cloudy day
4. Sticky Toffee Cake
5. The happiness of others

Let's see, I don't mean to be offensive, but my list deals with videogaming

1. Videogames
2. PWNing Noobs on XBL
3. The sound of a Chainsaw Bayonet on Gears of War
4. Fluff and stuff
5. The saying "Ohhh that Frosts my Cookies!"

1. Quiet, solitude, and peace.
2. Music; whether picking my guitar lightly, or just listening.
3. Walking; particularly with one whose hand I can hold.
4. A nice warm shower after sitting in a cold basement.
5. Those days where words come easy, and every bit of writing I do seems like a masterpiece, even if it's not.

1. when a good plan comes together
2. that brief moment of weightlessness at the peak of a jump
3. the butter-smooth landing that follows the aforementioned jump
4. when the RPs are lively and everyone is online
5. people helping people

1. Peeling dry PVA glue off my hands - I miss school art lessons.
2. When it's summer and it pours with rain.
3. Making someone laugh.
4. When one of my favourite songs comes on the radio.
5. Knowing that it's a holiday and I won't have to wake up before 9am for the whole of next week

I feel shown up. Everyone else has well worded descriptions of happy moments. Mine is just a simple list.

Wow, you actually remember that blog post? I'm impressed, it's been a while.

1. First I have to recycle one of my perennial favorites. Driving with the windows down in the rain. It's worth it alone for the look on the other drivers faces on the freeway.

2. Sleeping on the couch, or on the floor, or on the heat-vent on the floor.

3. The smell of fire.

4. That one time when I was working as a cashier at Wal-Mart and a lady came through my line and told me that her daughter said I looked like a hot Napolean Dynamite.

5. People who reaffirm that I do, in fact exist.

1. the smell of fire in the winter

2. the smell of the ozone layer in the rain

3. the feel of being able to cook, its very good

4. freshly baked homemade chocalate chip cookies (yes the a was on purpose)

5. knowledge that someday a girl will actually be attracted to me

1. Those perfect spring or Autumn days where its not too hot, maybe a touch on the cool side (yet you don't have to have a jumper on) and s soft breeze is going on

2. Insanse laughter with my friends over pointless things (you know, when you actually have tears coming out of your eyes)

3 Meeting my partner and understanding the saying you could cut the air with a knife and 'chemistry was in the air' and that he makes me feel more beautiful than I could ever hope for

4. Listening to Michael Bubles new CD cause it has my chosen wedding song on it =D

5. Oh right. Five things that make me happy. Reading. Reading a darn good book and being relaxed and comfortable.

(These are not in order lmao)

happiness list, huh?... alright, i'm game...

1. inside jokes that people won't get even after a friend and i explain them...

2. coming out of the studio with some fire that i've created...

3. a great movie with awesome visuals that makes me think a bit...

4. reckoning (i have a history of getting this in the future as opposed to right away, it's helped me develop patience)...

5. watching a good fight on tv (boxing, mma, wrestling or judo)...

no particular order... in fact, there are plenty more things that make me happy, those just came off the top...

1. Trying to explain to people that Metallica is actually a very talented group that understands basic concepts such as melody, volume, and emotional range.

2. The fact that I own most awesome tie in the world.

3. Arguing with people who don't like my ties.

4. The fact that no matter what other people think I will always maintain my claim that "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" is pure, mind-killing, unleaded nightmare fuel.

5. Ham and Cheese Hot Pockets.

1. Those evenings where I'm hanging out with close friends and I end up coming out of my shell and being uncharacteristically crazy.

2. A good, solid, melodic tune.

3. Candles. They have a soothing effect, especially when combined with music.

4. Springtime and warmth; especially after the six months of winter we get up here.

5. That rare state when I have nothing to worry about; no deadlines to meet, no work that I could be doing.

It's a tough morning for happiness so this is probably a good time to come up with five things I'm happy about!

1. I'm not in pain.

2. Chocolate and mint together.

3. A chore that is finished.

4. When I'm in the middle of an RPG and everyone is online, playing, and enthusiastic about it.

5. Messages of love even if my loved one can't be with me.

1 Telling customers 'I'm sorry, we're closed now' (nothing better! lmao)
2 Memories of having fish and chip night on the saturdays when my dad went to golf and came back sometimes with a few bucks of chips and a 2ltr bottle of Coke.
3 The smell of a nice roast pork or lamb with all the trimmings and my dads pan made gravy
4 the fact that I can make similar gravy to my dad
5 Being in the bakehouse!

I suppose I better do this too, even if I’m not the queen of happiness.

1. Times when you have the entire house to yourself, it’s freezing outside and you can sit by the heater without being bugged with some soup and just relax

2. Conventions a chance for me to be who I truly am I can wear as much black as I want put on my makeup as pale or thick as I please and not feel like I’m out of place.

3. Music that smothers you in emotion and wonder.

4. Being so relaxed around a person you don’t have to worry to watch your mouth or act a certain way to please them

5. Being an individual

My List for the moment:
1. Typing till my hands hurst, then just staring at the ceiling untill I'm good to continue
2. Reading summaries of books I will probably never read
3. Epiphanies
4. Waking up and being able to say 'No thanks' and switch of my alarm
5. The thought of going of to uni next year (English Language and Culture)

Five things?

1. Newly fallen snow.
2. Great quote from myself or anyone else in an RPG.
3. Catching my own dinner
4. Interview offers for jobs so I won't become a bum.
5. Typing Phox E instead of how it is supposed to go.

1. I totally agree with DB, freshly cooked cookies.
2. Food. It's just plain amazing.
3. Sleeping till 3 pm.
4.Beating my cousin in grades. Brings a warm feeling in my stomach to be her.
5.Soft pillows.

1. Coming home and relaxing after a long day of rehearsals
2. Curling up with a good book
3. When I solve a crossword puzzle by myself
4. Getting letters from my friends at uni
5. Hugs

1. Watching a show you thought would be incredibly stupid and having it turn out to be one of your all-time favorites.

2. 8 full hours of sleep.

3. This photo.


4. The fact that I was able to take one of the worst moments of my life and turn it into an inspiring piece of writing for a story I'm working on.

5. The way morning sun-light filters through trees and makes patterns of warm yellow light and cool blue shade.

1. The fact I just sorted out the contract for where I'm living next yr at uni.
2. It's a converted fire station (how cool is that)
3. Not only have I had some great experiences with OTC but I've ended up getting my two room mates out of it.
4. I get to meet my old work mates 2nite at a reunion drink i arranged.
5. Last night I couldn't sleep because I was so excited opposed to been stressed like I haven been the last few nights.

- Winning (especially at Wii Mario Kart worldwide)
- When passing strangers smile and say hi.
- Good writing days where the words flow (and make sense.)
- Getting good marks at college.
- Lazy Sundays when I can stay in my pyjamas until midday, eating dry cereal from the box and watching tv.

My happiness list because im forcing myself to do so after feeling extremely low last night.

1: My boyfriend loves my unconditionally
2: relaxing and listening to music.
3: Going to my nearest 'city' and watching movies this weekend
4: Memories of laughing uncontrollably with my good friend
5: In honor of ANZAC day, Australian and being able to walk around relativly freely and pretty much do what I want (within laws )
