So yeah, just post something that you think is cool.

I just found out about quite possibly the coolest chemical ever the other day. It's called Chlorine Triflouride. Anybody remember the acid blood that the creatures from the Alien movies have? Apparently according to canon, this stuff is what their blood is made of. It acts nastier in real life than they show in the movies though.

Chlorine Triflouride is an oxidizer. It is a stronger oxidizer than oxygen itself. For those of you without a chemistry background what that means is it makes things burn that just plain shouldn't. It is also self-igniting (hypergolic) Here's a list of a very few of the many things it burns on contact.

There was a one-ton spill of this stuff once, and it was described fairly simply by one observer. "The concrete was on fire!" The spill burned down through one foot of concrete and three feet of gravel.

And it gets worse.

Not only is the stuff itself bad, but then there's the byproducts of reaction. One of those byproducts is hydroflouric acid in gaseous form. Guess what hydroflouric acid does. It seeps through your skin and starts directly dissolving your nerves and bones.

None, probably You actually have unbreakable bottles, made out of plastic, to practice with. They look and weight the same as a standard spirits bottle, plus you can fill them with liquid to give it a more 'real' feel. I loves it!
