| Right, so after my somewhat failed attempt at GMing 'Blue Skies', I've decided to give it another go, sometimes... soon, maybe. Although it's more likely that it will have to waith untill after the summer holidays. Beside the point. Anyhow, I got these three ideas I wanted to throw at you folks. ' December Rain' is a Sci-Fi survival game set a few decades after the invention of FTLT (Faster then Light Travel). Space travel, lazer rifles, plenty of all the good stuff. ' Killswitch' is a bit closer to home. It is essentialy a mission based game set today, tomorrow and the day after that. Not a lot of blazing guns, but the players will get a lot of freedom to plan their missions in advance. ' Mirror World' is a steampunk game, like Blue Skies was. I am in love with the genre, and I do believe it has a lot of potential. Think of it as a world which has all the modern inventions, but everything is steampowered. Now I know we have a General discussion forum for this, but I thought I'd post it here, so I can make a poll So, cast your vote, let me know, and give me ample of time to prepare. | |

| Well I'll be going inactive soon while I'm working in America and won't be back till September and hopefully when I'm back I'll be having a go at launching my own RP. As for which sounds the best I think they all sound interesting.
I for one was quite dissapointed when Blue Skies died although I hadn't gotten that into my character I don't think you failed at GMing it I think it was just to succesful for its own good the activity it got was mad and in order to stand a chance you could have probably have done with a co GM to help but you couldn't really have anticipated that and having a co GM isn't something you always wanna have when you have the plot direction and all the pictures in your head although when you make an RP you always have to be prepared for it to change quite a bit from how you anitcipated. Either way on to the actual concepts although a lil more information may help for proper decision:
December Rain: Sounds interesting enough. Killswitch: Sounds like it has fair bit of potential although might want to make sure it doesn't come out around same time as DT's 7 because that sounds a bit similiar with the timescale and period etc. Mirrorworld: If you have such a passion for steampunk then this is where your going to be able to capture people's imagination the most and also it's different from the other RP's you tend to see pop up so much so for this reason I'd say give this another go since Blue Skies never got the chance it deserved.

| LOL! Looks like I inadvertently tied it up. I think a science fiction game would be quite welcome; most of what we're getting is modern and fantasy. I was tossed up between the steampunk game and the sci-fi; but I admittedly don't have much experience with steampunk; so I went with something I knew. | |

| I'd really like to do some sci-fi genre game, but I'm curious as to what Steampunk is. As for blueskies, I've asked and all I got for an answer was, "best RP ever till you know who shut it down."
So Steampunk it is. Yays.
