Weird

I just found out something on this forum that I'm sure everyone else might know but I feel like saying it anyways. There is a map, and it shows the locations of everyone who's online, its like a google earth. So for example I saw where Foxee might be, it showed like a house and a garage, both had green roofs. And Mouse's showed like an apartment or motel with a parking lot, but his location was in a parking space so I'm wondering if he like lives in his car or something.

Now get this some areas don't show up in close view like mine and Roo's. So now I feel like a stalker, mwhahahaha

What's weird is, I used to use that feature all the time (stalker? maybe...) but it hasn't worked in months. Now it suddenly works again.

And, just for the record, I live in a cul de sac and there's an elementary school in my backyard. One of those could be the parking lot(s) you see. Or maybe I do live in my car....

EDIT: Nevermind. I just chcked it and that location is waaaaaaaay off. It's miles away from my house. Now I'm just confused.

It probably works by area codes. But still, didn't know that feature existed. Hmm, now i know.

I have neither a garage nor green roofs. Google earth probably put me waaay off just like mapquest does. Ha! My stalkers are all driving around aimlessly in the wilderness!

Got to love Google's version of big brother. Our house shall now for ever be visible as 'that house with Chrismas Lights on the garage in heart of summer´. No, thank YOU Google!

On a positive note, Google maps is pretty outdated. My house (in Google maps) used to have a red car parked in the driveway; we got rid of that thing about two years ago. Also, the local skatepark is still a construction site in Gogle maps, and it's been completed for about three years. So, yeah, they aren't gonna catch you in your birthday suit if you strip down and run out the door right now.

C'mon Google, step your game up. (and, in doing so, step up your creepiness factor)

My vote is for 24/7 live feeds. Because we all know it would be awesome if the conspiracy nuts were right, just for this once.

LOL! Yeeah; it's putting me out near Edmonton; from which I am about three hours away. I think the reason for this is because the map finds you by the ISP that services your IP address; not by your physical location.

That would explain it. It's at least put me in the right town, if admittedly on the wrong side.

Hmm... My house doesn't show up period... Not even listed on there to look up... Maybe because I'm logged in on my laptop and phone at the same time...

It actually came pretty close for me, but still the wrong city.
