Theme and Scheme

Right, so, what do you guys think of the colors/theme of the site? I personally like the look, meself, and I've gotten some positive feedback, but I also know that some people have a hard time with light text/dark background. Thoughts?

Posting a poll to make things a little more easily-defined.

I do like the theme and colors.

One problem though. When someone quotes another post, it is very hard to see. Other than that greatness!

I do like the colours, yeah So apart from the quote thingie, it seems to work

I tend to prefer colours, but I do think the site looks quite cool. I don't particularly mind, though. Long as I can read the posts, it's all good

I was thinking the same about the quote thing. I'll go make a change to that...try a really light gray, I think.

Oh, and I also noticed that the username color for the admins and mods didn't fit well in the blue, so I changed it to a beautiful orange.

Yeah, that's much better! Like the orange too.

Not really a problem, but do we have the equivalent of the userCP on WF here?

Alas, no. Closest thing is the little 'Actions !' drop-down link at the top of the page. You can view the posts since your last visit. I was kinda hoping for a userCP myself.

How do I stop the e-mails ? I set it to none in my preferences, but I still get thrity odd posts on my email...

Hm. Make sure you hit the 'save' button after switching your preferences. Just realized I made that mistake myself. If that didn't work, let me know and I'll hack things on a deeper level.

Also, it isn't really important but with the current font, bold barely seems any different than regular text, so it fails to really stick out like it's supposed to. But like I said, it's not something important.

To me, it sticks out enough to notice on a regular read through. Just skimming, though, I can see where you're coming from. Don't know if there's something I can do to change that...might take a look at the CSS...

I really like the looks of the whole thing, so I voted yes, but there is a tiiiiiny little thing that bothers me (although it might be just me). When there are new posts in a thread, the icon-thingy goes yellow. Maybe I'm colorblind, but I can't see it that well. I really need to look hard. Anyone else have this?

yes. I like it cause i go by colors! lmfao! er, anyhooo..... it's a pale yellow, perhaps maybe make new posts a shade darker than the pale? but it helps me to notice the difference.

I was a little distracted by the black when I first posted. But I'm doing fine now and still loving the theme

Hm. I don't find the yellow too hard to pick up, myself. If I were to give the image an edit, what color do you think would work well?

Naw, if it were a tad darker. I mean, it stands out but just barely. Oh well. My eyeballs are getting a bit... old.... I mean, they are around 25 years old!
